In Cinema's This Weekend: 30 year old men pose as school children.

Don't be fooled by the above caption, it is aimed towards the only comedy being released this weekend. It doesn't sound very comedic on first viewing but trust me it is. It is one of 5 mainstream films released today. A mixed bag this weekend with comedy, action, horror and drama all being released with some great actors on show; Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon being two of them. Have a look at the new releases below and decide what you will be seeing.

1. First up is the movie from the caption, 21 JUMP STREET. It stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as two reckless cops being taken away from the important work and thrown into a high school undercover to infiltrate a drug ring. Expect laughs as the two attempt to blend in whilst controlling their ego's about being police officer. Like I said it is 30 year old me posing as school children. Also starring: Ice Cube & Brie Larson. Something funny this weekend?

2. In a complete contrast, next up is THE DEVIL INSIDE. Another hand held camera movie that this time follows a woman who becomes involved in exorcisms to discover what happened to her mother, who killed three people during her own exorcism. The trailer alone terrified me. Starring: Fernanda Andrade, Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth & Ionut Grama. Like to scare the wits out yourself?

3. Action thriller next. Mark Wahlberg stars in CONTRABAND as a former smuggler who has to take on another job after his brother in law is threatened by Giovanni Ribisi's drug lord.  Expect action galore considering the cast on show plus the fact that Wahlberg's wife is the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. Also starring: Robert Wahlberg. Guns, running and swearing?

4. The drama release this week is WE BOUGHT A ZOO, starring Matt Damon as a father who re-locates his family in order to renovate and re-open a struggling zoo. Scarlett Johansson also stars as zoo employee. Animals and perhaps tears for the weekend? Also starring: Thomas Hayden Church & Elle Fanning.

5. Finally we have Oscar nominated war drama IN DARKNESS. It is a dramatization of a man's rescue of Jewish refugees in Nazi-occupied Poland. I'm sure this one will bring tears. Starring: Robert Wieckiewicz, Benno Furmann, Agnieszka Grochowska & Maria Schrader. Something from the Oscars?

There you have it, 5 very different movies on show this week. Have a look and think carefully about what to see. Don't want you being as disappointed as I have been over the last few weeks going to the cinema.
